Title: CBT Booked!
Post by: tunnie on 25 June 2008, 11:42:20
Booked a day off work, and a CBT course to go on.

Doing it in town, costs £95, gunna do it on a 125cc manual bike.

He said if i get on fine, he will let me go on a 500cc if i pass the CBT for free  :D

We used to be able to take our bike tests on 250cc ,30bhp, 100mph bikes. Only one part to the test then straight on to a Suzuki GS1000.
All this at 17. Those were the days.

Have noticed the size of the bikes in comparison to me.

Not sure if i will be at a disadvantage though, cause can't you also take the CBT on a twist-go? no gears or clutch?

Less to think about on those.

For those that don't know i am tall at 6ft3/4ish, but very skinny!  ;D

Hi
Same problem here, that is why I ride a motocross style bike, they are much higher and I don't look quite such an idiot on it.

Yes you can do on a twist and go, but, i VERY mundane. You will be much better off on a 125! And will have much more fun  :y

I assume your license covers you to ride a 125......

Just I remember I gave a lift to bike instructor the other week.....he was going to collect one of his 125 training bikes.......apparently the youngster that turned up to ride it, couldnt according to his driving license  :-/
