Has anyone noticed how quiet the car is inside with the blower turned off  :-\ Surely it wasnt as noisy as that when new ? Just wondering if the fan needs to come out and be cleaned or lubricated to make it quieter  :(

-
Anything that spins will wear the bering out eventually.
Sometimes, bits and bobs can get sucked in past the filter but that's normally a rattle  :-\
-
Certainly the one in the desmond sounds a damn sight healthier than the one in the estate ::)

-
When i turn the fan off its like "wow" !! silence giving your ears a break  :(

I don't think the climate control is the Omega's crowning glory - I ve never know a system that makes so much noise!

-
Has it got the latest software for the climate control?

...and yes, one of the first things I commented on was how quiet the fans where in Als 2.2 sport. Suprisingly so actually. Thought mine was quiet, up to then.

Yep the Omega's Climate not one of the better ones - although it generally gets the temperatures about right, agreed the fan certainly works hard.  Not apparent on lots of other "climate" cars.

Fan in my 2.2 very noisey makes all sorts of odd noises but works extremly well and seems powerfull. I quite like the fact that when you do turn it of its like the car is transformed into a rols royce. :y

Yes trouble is, the thing mists up eventually, almost without fail.

The FL climate in particular makes the fans a bit anxious.  This doesn't really happen on the PFL, unless the temperature difference is quite wide. Without getting into the PFL v FL debate, the PFL panel does drive the fans more calmly most of the time.

As the OP has a PFL, this makes me think he may have a problem, but obviously would need to hear it to comment....   ....unless with the warm day, if the OPs A/C is BF'd, in which case the thing will be blowing like an old dear after brussels...
