Title: ABS ecu's , how many types?
Post by: omegod on 08 November 2014, 15:02:51
Going to swap one for a member with a 99 2.5 V6 manual, I have a good spare one 0273004207 from an 03 2.2 dti manual but know theres a few different types, basically how many and how likely is it this one will suit it.

I'm so looking forward to the swap :o, not bad on a 4 pot but far worse on a 6 banger!

IIRC the main difference is if it's 6 or 4 pot and the configuration as it is abs, abs/tc or abs/esp :y

4 pot abs ecu will not fit a 6 pot ;)

As far as I know you should be able to fit any ABS ecu there if it's from manual non-DBW v6 and has ABS/TC configs inside.

The Ident code needs to match. The rest can be programmed via Tech2
