Title: cat pipe replacement

anybody ever had any probs with removing the cat pipes from the exhaust manifolds , ie studs snapping ect

Usually reasonably problem free. Sometime they come out better if pipes are hot, sometimes cold.

Nuts are 16mm, plug spanner size, best to use a full hexagon socket, not a 'corners only' socket. If they do not turn on modest applied torque I apply heat to release the rust.

use a spark plug socket (single hex- 16mm) with a breaker bar with an extension
