He wasn't ......
I actually thought that as I typed ::) ;)
-
The shame of being over taken by a beetle :-\
but yes what a total willy end he is :y
-
Prosecutor Keith Yardy told the court: "As a result of his actions, the race was brought to a stop. He was interviewed. He said he was dared to do it and was sorry but would do it again."
Misprint ???

Yes a complete bell end, but I think the sentence was a bit harsh and community service would have been more appropriate. ::)
-
His defence was that " I just followed the sat nav directions " plonker..
-
yep what a sponk trumpet :o
-
He actually got locked up for wearing trainers to court whilst wearing a suit and tie. Mega fashion faux pas, if he still had a girlfriend that would not have happened.
Judge was probably a motorsport fan, young guy locked up for this! community service more appropriate. Heck Caulson is out this week after serving just 5 months and he hacked phones, family defrauded over 200k from the state and the longest jail term was 27 months. We have all done stupid things in our younger days, sending this guy to prison senseless.

yes i agree he should be picking litter up off the roads

... wearing a pink onesie! ;)

On the upside, at least it makes a change from the usual driving involving miles and miles of concrete barrier construction, 'Incident ahead 40mph',
major accident will happen one day and the emergency services wont be able to get through managed motorways and road closures.... ::) :-X
I bet the fuel stop was pricey though!

You're not wrong... well you are, but not in this context :D

8 Months for raping a Polo.
There are proper criminals who rape humans and get less.
The Judge needs to have a long hard talk with himself.
-
didn`t deserve jail, I`m assuming the other racers weren`t happy that he just found his way onto the track like that :-\ Surely the organisers / race officials need some scrutiny themselves.
-
When my wife went for Porsche experience at Thruxton, to get on the track the cars had to pass a barrier which was closed behind them, no other way onto the track I could see, Brands must have a similar system I would think.
-
I obviously won't go into detail, but my job takes me to places that the average Joe either know about and never get close or they don't even know it's on their doorstep.
MOD sites are everywhere... *deleted* tend to be the most 'secret' ones. As a known Contractor for the relevant sites I visit, I don't even have to show ID anymore.
Security at a race-track?? Really??

I thought that until I watched footage of him arriving at court, he didn't look too repentant!

Err Really :) I don`t think they just let anyone line up on the grid do they ??? I remember now they call them race marshals.
-
If he's retarded enough to make it onto Youtube... ::)
I believe our American cousins call it wreckless endangerment :y
As harsh as a custodial sentence seems, the sooner retarded people realise that actions have consequences and with that responsibility, the sooner they might learn to be less retarded...
Everyone is young and stupid once, but most of us are bright enough to appreciate that we alone hold the responsibility for our actions/behaviour.

An (unpaid) marshal is unlikely to want to have himself turned into a red smear on the ground trying to stop a fast moving vehicle, I suspect.. we all know that in a fight between a ton of metal and a fleshy body, the metal is going to win!
FWIW the tracks I've been to have no barriers etc between the paddock & pit lane and no barrier at the end of the pit lane.. so if you were moving fast enough, who'd try and stop you? Unless there happened to be a recovery truck around to block your path, anyway.
-
Without fail they have effing big signs that make it clear that you aren't welcome to test your girlfriend's shopping trolley on the track uninvited, though. ::)
Considering the risk a clueless cap-on-backwards driver who hasn't been briefed, obtained the necessary license nor had his car prepared or scrutineered causes to himself, his passenger(s) and the rest of the track users by doing something this stupid, I'm glad they made an example of him.
