When using wynns lifters fluid how long should it be left in. Does it matter..
-
I put a bottle in at every oil change and it satys there for around 5k.
Done it on bothe Omegas I had and covered nearly 200k doing it that way :y
-
A can/bottle every oil change, in my case 10k ish :y
-
Nope. Leave it in until the next oil change. Well, obviously ;D but the point is it can stay in as long as the oil change schedule allows.
Matters not as far as the wynns goes.
-
Cheers.. will stick the bottle in tomorrow.
-
What does it do?
-
Stops the lifters tapping/knocking/rattling or whatever. Softens the gummed up oil in the hydrolic lifters themselves, allowing fresh oil in, and the hydrolic action takes out the slack to the cam.
Should then give a silent top end. :)
-
Quietens down tappets / followers / lifters
It's about the only oil treatment that does what it says on the tin (well bottle).
Their Engine flush is pretty good as well.

It does work. Good stuff.
Only thing that i'd say....
Dont do an oil change up to ''full'' as usual... then dump a whole bottle in. Your oil will read well over the dipstick max mark.
i dump 5 litres in and a bottle of Wynns... then see where i'm at on the dipstick.
