Title: Lights
Post by: The Sheriff on 27 November 2014, 16:38:53
This is becoming a real issue with me. A couple of weeks ago, when it started getting gloomy around half four, I was mildly irritated by people with no lights on. Now it is properly dark at around 4:15, it is starting to really annoy me. Even when you tell them, they don't bother.
This morning, when I left to drop the lad off at school, about 7:30, it was dark and foggy. Driving down a lane at a reasonable speed for the conditions, some fickin stupid young bint in a mini charged right up behind me with NO LIGHTS ON! >:( There is no opportunity to overtake so I made sure she had the slowest jouney possible. HA!

Should I get a life?  :-\

.........that you bend the said 'stupid young bint' over the bonnet of your Daewoo and  give her a good seeing to.

You'll feel 30 years younger after that. :)

Two major problems:-

1) Some people are plainly too stupid to be allowed to drive a vehicle on the public highway if they do not know that their lights aren't on.
2) Which total plonker thought it was a good idea to build cars now that turn the dashboard illumination on when you either open the door or put the key in the ignition.

Don't worry, in about ten more years time all cars will have auto lights that come on whether you want them or not. No facility to overide. In fact all decision making when driving will be gone, rendering Victor Meldrews' dinosaurs. People will be wafted along serenely reading War and Peace with their ETA proudly displayed for others to see , at their destination. No more claiming the traffic was bad as an excuse for getting up late.

Then you get those that drive with fog lamps on when there's no need for them  >:(
