Vauxhall Insignia - when should I change the cam belt?
I'm about to purchase a 2009 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 cdti sri Nav auto and would like to know when the cam belt should be changed. I've looked at various websites and the general feeling is 100,000 miles or 72 months. The car has only done 26,000 miles but isn't a million miles away from being 72 months old.

Probably wrong section posted in but cambelt change is 100,000 miles along with the water pump so your fine.

1.9 and 2.0 CDTi engine is 100K miles or ten years and needs the water pump at the same interval.

I am comfortable with the mileage stated but would not go with the time personally and would change at circa 6 six years and that's mainly due to the water pump in all honesty.

Do change the antifreeze every four years though.  :y

Oh and moving to general car chat   :y

That's a bit posh for Orchard Park Mick  ;D ;D

As said via pm, i'd break it for parts mate.
Not many mini facelift parts about nowdays and still a few on here who are hanging on to them.
Don't forget you have 2 very decent cats on your old bus which are worth quite a bit to those of us who have 2.6 / 3.2's  :y
