Post by: X30XE on 10 December 2014, 19:34:29
Does anybody happen to know the tradeclub going rate for a V6 Thermostat?

TC website is the most useless heap ever.

Might as well order the HBV and Crank sensor now... nothing if not predictable these old cra... I mean wonderful cars.

I don't think its a TC item.

Last one I bought was around £50 by time it had the VAT on, but that was 2 or 3 years ago.

A thermostat is a similar price for a Smart  ;) But when you buy your cheap 'stat, bare in mind how easy it is to change.  ::)

Reusing housing and transfer pipe is a gamble and depends on being able to separate them without breaking either of them. Given the odds of that happening, best budget for both new imho :y

Have gone for one of these puppies.

Although I am concerned about the transfer pipe. Is it an O-ring seal between the two?

Cool. I'll get that.  Which coolant did you use when you did the waterpump for me, as I'll be needing to top it up and i'd rather not mix types?  Thanks
