Title: My old dvd / hardrive recorder
Post by: tigers_gonads on 10 December 2014, 20:50:24
I've got a Liteon dvd / hardrive recorder which is about 7 years old.
Brilliant bit of kit but it only has a anolog tuner so needs to have a digibox connected to it if I want to record something of the tv  :(

Is they anyway it can be upgraded to receive a digital terrestrial signal so I can bin the digibox ?

I suspect it will have either a SCART or separate phono sockets for an analogue AV input, you can connect the digibox to it via that if your digibox has analogue outputs.

I had one of those.....the dvd player packed up on it....iirc the dvd player is a very slim footprint...that couldn't easily be replaced....so I took out the hard drive and binned it...
Pressganged my old Sony dvd player back into service....and bought a Humax....

Sorry doesn't help you....but I suspect that you wont be able to upgrade its analogue tuner to a digital one easily....
