Just my first MV6 - really liked it but had to sell due to buying house. :-[
Just like to know it's still in one piece - I've got a few photos - depends if current owner is interested in the history .......

Have you done a vehicle enquiry on the dvla website? I believe you can get the dvla to pass on your details if you want to buy it (I believe)

Done DVLA search already and got all the necessary details such as SORN'd etc.
Don't think DVLA will pass over details - these are confidential and only if a plausible reason given.
Not particularly interested in buying it - but you never know :y
Don't think the wife will understand ;D

Simply tell the DVLA that it is parked on your property and you want to contact the owner to shift it... there is a fee, but details are available. Obviously a technically grey area, potentially not exactly legal if abused, as any car park owner will testify :y
-
I know you could get the dvla to pass on your details at one point but unsure on receiving there details, it's a very grey area data protection...
-
The DVLA is oblivious to the Data Protection Act. The grey area stems from the person asking for the information and the reason they give to obtain said information ;)
-
It's quite worrying if it is that easily, the amount of spare keys I've found over the years... :o
-
don't you have to be the registered keeper to get a print out of previous keepers, they only give out contact details to registered partners (ie who pay a fee, like parking eye).
-
Nothoing stopping anyone with an interest from purchasing the information...
You could claim to have been involved in an accident with said vehicle and claim the information that way, but think you might find it illegal to do that.
Anyone have a twenty owner car with minimal, ie no value? Just to demonstrate the point...
