Title: Temp fluctuation on truck

past few days ive noticed temp sits at 80 then goes 85 and drops back down ,its doing this a fair amount now,could it be the thermostat failing ?

Could be,or could the rad be past its best and struggling to cope although I would have thought you'd have had issues when the weather was hot rather than now.

Temp sender lose connection or the gauge is fubar.
senders fail very rarely, so go the obvious first. mt estate did the same thing last year and pinned it down to the gauge.

Rad is fine,it might be the gauge,im getting new clocks next year,i might change stat 1st as it only 5 min job on the 4pot.

Clocks were a weak spot on the frontera if i remember correctly  :-\
