Just seen part of a documentary on it.
One of the survivors was just saying "well, this sort of thing never happens to us", which is a common feeling of such things. Which has just hit home my own disasters of the past 3 years, which although minor by comparison, "never happen to us". And has made me realise quite how lucky I am.
I remember waking up to the news on boxing day, 2004. Was it really ten years ago :o. Likewise, the terrorist attacks in New York over 13yrs ago :o. These are 2 major loss of life incidents, one natural, the other most unnatural. Yet life continues, almost as if the incident never existed, now time has passed.

It was an event that completely passed us by at the time. We (all immediate family) were all sat around dazed at the fact that my brother's other half (not actually married but 3 kids between them) had died in hospital at the age of 36 on the 27th Dec :'( :'(
We never did get a definitive answer despite the coroner's inquest

had died in hospital at the age of 36 on the 27th
And that is every bit "unfair" as all those lost souls in the other events mentioned. 36 just isn't old enough :'(

Trouble was that the nursing staff from downstairs had all got their story together ..... but it just didn't tie up with what the upstairs staff were saying .............. lies & damned lies .......... >:( >:(

I'm guessing it was a controversial death, and possibly avoidable, which makes it even more sad.

I'd challenge even the most heartless bastard, me included, not to get an emotional twinge at that documentary. Its not usually the type of documentary I'd watch, but glad I did.

You'd have thought that being in hospital would've given you a fighting chance ........ the hospital let her down badly,

What side was it on? I'm sure I'll be able to watch it on some kind of catch-up

Freck knows. Was channel flicking as buggerall on, and I couldn't be arsed to do anything constructive. Sorry.
