Son Jonny and his wife Elaine are keen photographers. Every Christmas they organise a competition where every family member with a camera submits his 15 best photos for judgement by the family, who award 3 points for best photo, 2 for second and 1 for third. Results are compiled using internet (Elaine's family are in Florida) and announced boxing day.
I submitted a ragbag of pictures, holiday snaps, bridges, cars, trains, warships, a bird, Dan raising a ladder against a wall, and me weighing an Omega gearbox. The last you have seen before, no work of art to hang on a wall, but I was proud to have got the gearbox off so I included it.
Imagine my surprise when my gearbox shot won by a mile, winning 16 points out of a maximum of 18. highest score ever achieved in the competition. I feel all members should share my glow of success, for all their advice at the time, JamesV6VDX's excellent maintenance guide, and Taxi Al's encouraging 'it's only 22 bolts' remark which led me to embark on the exercise.
I attach the prize winning photo, first posted in January.

Excellent. A man with time to remove a gearbox, then play a round of golf all before breakfast. :y
