Anybody know of any reasonably priced odb code readers that work well with the 2.2dti?
I don't need it as yet but I am sure the time will come and the wife said she would get me one as a late "pressie" :y
One's that work great on the wife's Golf seem plentiful but for the Omega not so.

If the car is OBD compliant, then any working reader should give results. OBD compliance is from 2001 for petrol engines, and 2004 for diesels. So 2.5 and 3.0l Omegas aren't compliant, and that makes the DTI unlikely. Plus the the functionality is much lower for diesels.

I seem to recall that members have had intermittent success with generic OBDII readers on the 2.2DTi

That's what I understand, some seem to work better than others. I was looking at a generic one as then it would do the Golf as well (and future purchases).....or I could get a decent one for the Golf as you can do most things on them diagnostics wise on quite a cheap unit like the Vscan etc and see if that would pull any results from the Dti.
I would have thought somebody on here would have had some experience with these whether good or not.
Any how thanks for the replies so far and a Happy New Year to you all. :y
