Title: This fella seems to know what he's talking about
Post by: The Sheriff on 02 January 2015, 12:37:15
American Republican senator Joe Barton on wind turbines:

"Wind is a finite resource and harnessing it would slow the winds down, which would cause the temperature to go up".

Spot on, Joe. ;D

You won't hear that from any of the do-gooders or the BBC...

Einstein of course mentioned just a little on energy and relativity..................................

I have always thought that if I turn on an electric light I may be slowing down the Universe ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)..............................

If you use wave power it may slow down the oceans............ ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Although in the last 30 years or so, hasn't he been proven wrong (or at least the E=MC2 bit).

But, of course, he and Newton both pretty much said if you take energy out, it isn't magically renewed.  But try telling that to the tree-huggers

I have always wondered who actually knows how much energy there is in the Universe.  But, whatever the answer, I feel sure we on Earth can make no difference to that total whatsoever! ;D ;D ;D

When you read the knowledge gained so far in respect of quantum science you know we know nothing yet! ;)

One of those recent documentaries on the telly said, if you understand QP, you haven't understood it...

...and I believe that is correct because it is beyond most people; even Einstein could not explain it mathematically*, so what chance for the rest of us? ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)

*That is in respect of the apparent super-movement of atoms across the Universe with them being in two places at once. ;)

If your worried about it Lizzie, probably best to sit in the dark  ;D

And the earth could spin faster/slower making the working day longer or shorter, depending on the wind direction of course.

I have cut my power consumption TD to save the Universe ::) ::) ::) ::).

No way though will I stop driving a big engined car to speed up the planet! ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Our particular universe, Lizzie?.......or the infinite number of other universe/dimensions?.. ;D :-* :-* :-* :-*

Ah, that is THE question Doctor Opti.  Energy is "Universal" in terms of the entity we as humans are currently aware of, the one that is about 12.7 billion years old, but when you consider the other planes of existence, overlapping in time and space, energy could well be transferrable, thus unlimited in terms of what we insignificant humans need on Earth. The "Universe" in terms of quantum science is a multiple entity, with atoms transferrable from one zone to another, thus energy must conform to that same pattern across the spectrum of "life", in whatever forms it takes, to infinity beyond our current comprehension. ;)

Are you taking the piss out of Mistress Lizzie?

If so, she may feel the need to discipline you for your disrespectful behaviour. ::) ::) ::)
