Has anybody got a idea why I can send text messages but cant receive them.

Have you checked the APN settings are correct for your provider ??

APN settings are in settings/connections/more networks/mobile networks/Access point names depending who your provider is you should be able to get/edit the APN to have the correct information

Just checked all correct both on vodafone. Any other ideas please.

Mine did this, on and off, for a few months years ago. I eventually cured it by throwing the phone against a wall and getting a new one. Seriously.

I have managed to sort this.  :y I thought lets see if there is a software update, there was and I downloaded it and installed it. All good now.
