Title: Check Control Fuse
Post by: Drewomega on 09 February 2015, 12:05:07
Hello again guys,

Not too sure if battery is fubard or there is a battery drain. The battery is only 18 months old. I checked the amps on a multimeter and the reading was 0.32 amps on a 10 amps setting on the DMM. I started pulling fuses out and came to fuse number 7 (check control) and the amps went down to 0.02. Is 0.32 amps the correct approximate reading or should the amps be reading zero when the fuse is in?

TIA

Sorry guys it is fuse 6 that is the problem. Radio, infotainment system.

Ok! I took fuse 6 out yesterday and the battery voltage is 12.22v today. It would be around 11.5v with the fuse in. Is there anything in the radio/infotainment unit that would use that much power when ignition is off? Maybe one for DaveDND.
