Title: Debadge Boot ?
Post by: ckz on 10 February 2015, 20:18:24
hi Guys,
i seen a Omega estate in black today.
all the fancy big spoilers on,real gloss, black rear lights etc. looked amazing.
private plate too.
2 double endpipes and sounded amazing too.
now i couldnt keep up with it when he speeded up on the A38. and i dont have a diesel, but this one just gone away.
guessing some 3 litre or even bigger. lol
it was a facelift, - bonnet gave it away.

thinking bout debadging the boot on mine now.
i know the omega writing, also the 2,5 v6 they all stick on and can be removed with a hairdryer and t cut.

my question\\; is the vauxhall badge which is in the top middle just a stick on one or is this somehow otherwise attached?
dont want to start and have to end up with filler and respray.

Thanks

On the Facelift saloons there is a hole in the lid and a pin that sticks out on the badge to centre it. Not sure about the estates

On pre-facelift saloons, the emblem is stuck onto the bootlid "handle"  ???  Behind it are 2 holes, 1 central and one to the side for locating the badge.  So combine that with VXL V6's replay and I guess there's a fairly high chance the estate is similar.
