We bought an electric 'Range Cooker' few years ago now, and it has a 'Griddle Plate' in addition to the hobs. Well I was quite keen to put the Griddle into practice and turned it on. After a little while it started to smoke quite badly. On further investigation it had a reflective underside that had some form of Blue plastic protection that had to be removed before use, I hadn't read the instructions, who does? I still have that to live down as swmbo reminds me of what I would have said if she had done that.......... ::) ::) :D :-[
