Title: Jasonm's Skoda may have passed the mot today, mine broke down
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 19 February 2015, 18:26:35
But I should say, its been warning me summat is gonna go ping unless I get it fixed for the last 8 months  ::)

In fact TB, at Newent last year, hit the nail on the head, I thought it was something else wrong with it.

Today, screeching noise from engine compartment, immediately followed by only engine noise and battery warning light on.

For the last 8 months the aux belt has been 'bouncing' when idling, not when rev'd.

So....from that, the aux belt must be loose when idling, which suggests a knackered bearing on summat attached to the aux belt....

Competition time.....which bearing failed....  poll added  :y
