Looking for a Corsa for my daughter , we provisionally bought a 1.2 but on the test drive the drive shaft was noisy but he said he would fix it . Only other thing is the engine sounds very tappety  :( Are they all like that ?  :-\ Ill point out that there is no history with the car , im not happy for her to go ahead with it  :(
Are they cam chain ??

Not quite as bad as that but you can here it tappety tap even with the bonnet shut , got 3 more to look at tomorrow , all with service history  8)
When i told him the drive shaft was knackered he said whats a drive shaft  ::)

Where's that DTM bloke when you need him  ::)

Agreed,normally quite a sweet motor if looked after so sounds like poor serving regime.

Walk away from it. Plenty around to choose from. MDTM will concur that noisy chain is a sign of poor servicing. No interval on them. 1.4,s have abelt with interval.

Have a look under the drivers mat for wet floor. They suffer from a fault on the brake servo seal on bulkhead. Fixeable but a pain.

Nice though the Sxi,s are we found everyone had collapsed driver seat - with metal near edge of seat from people sliding in or out.

Thanks Varche  :y There are hundreds to look at , just a matter of sifting
through the rubbish ones . Normally cheap for a reason  :( I will not be buying this one  :y

Our 53 plate 1.2 Corsa is smooth as silk.

It has covered less than 27000 miles though. :y


As already said.... there are plenty more fish in the sea. :y

You should be falling over Corsa's, Mr Emd.

It shouldn't be  hard to find a half-decent one. :y
