Title: Caliper gaiter / seals - just the one!
Post by: Diamond Black Geezer on 11 March 2015, 15:39:51
Managed to rip a hole on one of the seals/gaiters on my calipers - does anyone have one of these kicking around, or perhaps has a manky old caliper ready for the bin, that they could whip it off and send met? Push piston out, then the gaiter just pulls right out, maybe with a tug as they seem to feel stuck in a little with rust/age.

It's this bit...

thanks in advance if anyone's able to help - just such a stupid little thing, but the rebuild's at a bit of a halt without!  :-[

Hi, thanks for the replies. The only snag with the biggred people is they're the ones I bought slider bolts from recently, to be sent the wrong size. I'm presently trying to sort the right size out with them, but it's a bit tooth-pulling, sadly. The usual thing of they can do me another pair that should fit, but they're more money, of course. The slider bolts they claim adamantly are correct for Omega (but too small for my brakes) I'm assuming are right for early 4-pot brakes. If this is the case, I'm assuming that early 4-pot brakes have smaller pistons/seals, too?

Oh, the online store isn't working at present, either - they are on heebay, however. Nothing's simple!
