Title: Ghost Radio?
Post by: LostBloke on 25 March 2015, 18:00:11
Hi.
I have the CCR 2006 with Bose which has developed a new trick. About five minutes after locking the car the radio decides to turn it's self on. Much to the joy of my neighbours who enjoy knocking on my door to tell me. The radio starts on the medium wave and will not change until I turn on the ignition, turn off the radio and then restart it, when it starts on the station I left it on. The fault is so bad that I now have to remove the radio every time I'm parking for a while. (or leave it out and have to talk to the wife :o )

Please HELP!!

Regards

LB

Completly pull out / discount the Head Unit for an overnight, then refit again, and see how you get on.  ;)

Replaced radio, 6-7 mins later on it came. It starts even if turned off before locking the car. *SPOOKY*  ???

Removed radio, removed cartridge, replaced radio, and, all has been quiet for the last two hours. Hopefully this may be the cure * crosses fingers/touches wood/sacrifices virgin, etc.*

Thanks for all advice, let's see how long it lasts.

The CCR2006 has a software bug that can cause it to behave strangely - removing and refitting in the way done allows it to reboot and restart again, and chances are it may just be cured

Well, up to now, the radio has been behaving it's self.  :y

Long may it continue.

Had the same probleem with ncdc2013. Problem was ignition switch didn't lift out after removing the key so in little time radio came back on. Had to push the ignition lock after removing key to ensure it was out and probleem solved.
