Post by: steve6367 on 29 March 2015, 09:59:20
Does anyone know what is required to re-seal the joints?

I want to get them ready before I start  :y

Get them from VX or an Aircon supplier, the box of every size I got from Halfords had every size but the correct ones.  ::)

Reuse old ones, smear with silicone grease, or buy from ebay,as aircon O rings are different a different material to normal rubber O rings, think they are nitrile.

Yep, supposed to be the green ones. As I say, the box of them you buy from Halfords has every size except the size you need. I reused the old ones without issue.

I would interested in Part number as I need some for a new Condenser and Drier  :)

If I find out from my trip to StDealers I shall let you know.

Assume just two needed where two AC pipes bolt to drier pipes.  Condenser came with Drier fitted (OEM Delphi GM one so hoping simple to fit  :y)

I bought a very small pack of the A/C 'O' rings at VX a couple of years ago....very expensive! think around £ 6.50 for 3 or 4.Had 3 new condensors fitted recently and I just bought a couple of selection boxes on the bay of gay.....no problems with them at all :y
