Been car shopping with the wife this morning & bought this Superb, 2.0L Diesel. 60+mpg, £30 tax, only 9500 miles from new. Took it for a test drive and loved it. Insurance is cheap too, so I've now got move Discovery funds :) :) :) :) Happy happy happy! Pick it up next week.

Superbs are good cars......tad expensive these days after the face lift imo...hope you got it at a good price...have fun with it Jason :y

Had a Superb estate as a courtesy car when mine was rear ended, must say was impressed. Enjoy it mate. :y

They are good cars and the Taxi Co i do the odd job for has a couple of them but, i don't know, the lines jsut don't look right to me, have been thinking of a VRS

The estate is better looking, but they're relatively narrow... The design is a bit botched though... Look how far under the car the sill seams are... The B post is a filler section as is the rear passenger footwell... Basically it gives the impression of being a nice solid car, but under the surface, it's nothing more than a parts bin special... Might as well be called and Octavia+ and don't get me started on the boot ::)

Well I've had it a week now and I can definately say I like it! Can't knock the dealers too, serviced washed & waxed within an inch of its life before I picked it up, full tank of fuel :) :) :) Feels really solid on the road and there's acres of space in the the rear & has foldy down seats :)
Been to work & back all week and MFD reads 64 - 67mpg on each motorway trip, still trying to get used to the start stop tech though. The boot is huge and opens as either a saloon or a hatchbach which is quite versatile. Just hope dopy Miss Daisy doesn't run into this one ::) ::) ::)

Pleased to hear you are very happy with the superb, and this model as a choice was high on my list last month after I had researched and looked at a couple of them, because I was after a vehicle with a 4x4 function, and with the superbs spec, so this model initially fitted the bill, and you will no doubt enjoy many years of good service from it.Alas, I steered myself away from a diesel in favour of a 4x4 electric/petrol hybrid.

That'll be a Mitsubishi PHEV then... a guy at work has one, 30 miles on elec only - good to drive for the size vehicle, and saving a lot of money on petrol, and electricity as we have charging points at work to use for free.
They're quite temping tbh :o

That's better than my Honda, love the car but disappointed by fuel consumption, around 34MPG overall, Petrol model would be similar..... :( :(
