Hi everyone. My 2.2 omega seems to be getting abit gutless lately when I put my foot down it takes ages for the revs to build up and when it's building up it feels like there's loads of flat spots .Iv had it serviced etc and still feels pretty much the same anyone help

Does it seem reluctant to go over 2500 revs

If it tends to die around 2500 revs i would say cam sensor had same on mine was guttless .new cam sensor new car. :y

You want to get a code reader on it before doing anything. :y
Cam sensor is about the only sensor on the 2.2 to fail, so get codes read and see what's what.
If it has failed, replace with geniune only :y

If the cam sensor fails do you get a warning light up?

I had a similar thing on my 2.2 when the crank sensor went, the only way to accelerate was to change gears manually
