Title: daily driver
Post by: lesv6 on 09 May 2015, 01:28:16
bought the Elite estate new as i needed a comfortable van at the time, and over the years its been well used and abused by me and my employees.  noticed that many on here either don't have omegas now or have an omega plus another car.  whats your current daily driver, omega or another?

If I am going down the road I take the one pointing left, if up the road, the one pointing right. :y

There be two reasons for that... 1. I started work two minutes ago, and 2. I'm based in the North terminal ::)

Pic doesn't show it but it does have an orange light and a dead duck squarky noise, oh and a rather loud horn ;D

Ford Ranger here.

Quite impressed with it Tbh,much better tow car than I thought it would be,super stable with pikey van behind, mines a 2.5Tdi which is around 170bhp stock but just around 200 with a chip and plenty of torque, drives like a big car rather than an off roader :y

Thanks Henry - good to know :) I was idly pondering them for when the Ranger needs replacing as they have the same tow capacity with slightly less inconvenience of dragging around a metre and a half of truck bed ;D (Although that came in very useful last weekend to take a 1.8m garden table plus six chairs!)

All my cars are Omegas, so that's what I drive. The two I prefer are the ones with the JVC radio/cassettes player/12 disc magazine CD player, because I love the random play of any track in the magazine option. The 4 disc Vx player only randomises tracks on the selected CD, that's no good to me.

I've a friend who uses an NSX as his daily, which means his 'toy' can be really silly. It's a quadcarbed, Rover engined  Ford model Y hot rod in dark green with ghost flames. Their garage includes an Avantime and a tuned Jensen Interceptor for added interest.

Daily hack is my beloved 1998 3.0l LPG'd MV6

On rare occasions, I get to drive my 2003 3.2 LPG'd Elite that Mrs TB is always using

As a punishment, I occasionally have to use the shitbox Zafira, just to keep the battery charged.
