Title: handbrake light flashes

Hi guys

I have noticed that my handbrake light on the dashboard flashes every so often even though the handbrake is lowered fully

Have you checked the level of the brake fluid?

Indeed, mine started flashing if I went uphill.

Doesn't mean a leak, just that the pads are wearing down and the fluid level is dropping as they wear.

If it is low,means you havnt been doing regular checks then,which seems to be a regular occurrence these days as everybody is meant to check the car is ok to use on the road,thats lights,tyres oil,coolant,screenwash,brake/clutch fluid,power steering fluid and tyre pressures .

When mine did that it was a bad connection on the level sensor plug,

I didn't know this.  :-[ Its the same light on the dash for the hand brake on and the low fluid level warning when hand brake is off. Learn something new every day.  :y
