She's been painting the numbers on my new tool trays from my 200pc halfords set

I suspect that the sizes are moulded into the plastic tray and a slim paint pen was used ....... ;)

Yes and no - yes the numbers are moulded, no, she tried a paint pen, it didn't work, so she had to use an artists brush and do it. 3 coats apparently, she goes to great lengths to tell me ::)
