Title: IE Problem
Post by: Auto Addict on 28 May 2015, 19:10:26
IE keeps opening up with http://www.delta-homes.com/?type=sc&ts=1432829068&z=c483e3c7862c07f76bba35eg0z6cbobb2o0t0e1qcq&from=wpm05283&uid=HitachiXHTS545032B9A300_101108PBPC001D1NJ0PLX

IE is set to open up with about:blank

Any ideas how to get rid of delta homes Please?

Try setting it open with www.google.co.uk and see if it overwrites the registry setting first.

I've tried things like that, they don't work.

Updated to latest IE?
Ran a virus scan with latest update?

Check registry setting manually via regedit in RUN...

Done all that, deleted every reference to delta-homes, still opens up with delta-homes >:(

Try going into Control Panel....Programmes and Features, and see if there is something in there that should not be.
Search Protect is one programme that pops up, and is a bitch to get rid of :y

Sigh, what have you installed Mr AA?

My usual advice on a desktop with this is to rebuild the bastid, and be more careful in the future.

But try the usuals of a full AV scan, followed by a Malwarebytes antimalware scan (use freebie, and don't take trial option). Ideally run these scans in safe mode

Only been on 2 sites today, this and my bank account.

Done the scans, problem still there, every reference to delta-homes has been removed from the registry.
