Well, you can't expect a modern car to be waterproof, good grief!

Out of interest what's been your favourite bobby car? For speed, handling, or indeed just "not breaking down"...

I loved driving the Volvo T5. It went like the clappers, was surefooted, held the road like it was on rails and was built like a tank. Nothing would stop it & it was very good and sturdy when putting on a box.

The early 5 series BMW's were by comparison crap. Too heavy & slow for the town centres being diesel & had much turbo lag, too much gear changing as they easily ran out of legs ( where as the T5 could sit in third and either sit at town speeds OR hit the loud pedal & WOW!!! , silly in the wet, and had too many problems - i.e. DMF, DPF's, fumes entering the cabin.

New 530's with the twin turbos - I'm beginning to like them (when they work) and that's the problem with em, too many electronics to go wrong & go wrong they do. They are VERY fast, handle a lot better than their predecessor and don't feel like you're driving an oilburner.
