Winter will return from Monday onwards...its going to be at least -5C daytime temps...
Im taking the Octavia in for an air con re gas on Monday, so the weather is bound to get cold ::) ;D
Hopefully its just a re gas it needs, as you can hear the gas circulate when you turn the air con on....so the compressor is kicking in, its just the air temp from the vents doesn't get any colder :(

Now there TD we know from past experience of your flatulence problem, which keeps you warm when it is cold, and has always been the reason why you have never shared a tent or your caravan at any meets, not to mention the 6 Ft vent pipe you erect on the tin tent when you set up :-\. Surely, you should have worked something out where you can do it for free with all that free gas you give ;D, if not then sure there will be someone along soon that can give some expert advice :y

Think you have me confused with a certain admin type person ::) tho neither of us have a tin tent ::)

All re gassed ....last time I had my Omega re gassed the guy did it all by hand ... ie one machine to vacuum it out, another to gas, two gauges to balance the system...etc
This time the garage connected up a machine...entered a number read off a plate by the radiator...hit auto on the machine and less than 1/2hr later it was done :y
Nice and chilly now, again :y
Tho I do remember when the guy did it manually on the Omega....first he filled the system with nitrogen (I think that was the gas) and checked to see if the pressure dropped...ie indicating a leak ... I don't know if these 'plug and go' machines check to see if pressure is maintained :-\
Guess I'll know in a weeks time.... ::)

Yes, they check if it will hold vacuum for about 15mins. Although all but the largest leak would never get detected in a sensible time frame

I need to regas the 3.2, changed the HP value last year (one at the top) lasted about 4 months, before it stopped again. :(
Want a proper specialist to look at it, see where it's loosing gas.

You need to make sure they add dye to the mix, so they can see where its leaking....My 2.2 needed a new rad ... it had sprung a leak on one of the small alloy pipes going into the rad....aircon guy reckon he couldn't solder an alloy pipe that small....so about £170 later for a new rad :(

Oks....so if in a week time its still working it should be :)
