Title: washer jets
Post by: vauxsull on 14 June 2015, 16:55:26
To the screen are p** poor. All 4 nozzles are clear but there's no " umph" in them.. Only just about drizzle on the screen... The jets to head lights are great.. So I have a blockage somewhere so what's the procedure?

It's as old as the hills too. One of the first jobs I ever did on the omega.

The first thing I did on oof was browse through the guide section and take in all that free help, advise and info about how to look after ones car. You'll find the answers to niggles you didn't know where a problem I'm betting.

Now go look. ;)

Edit, at the rest of the guides too. ;D

There are very few "common" issues that don't have a guide.

I would add, the usual cause of a blocked filter is not using screen wash. This is known to cause legionnaires in severe cases.

Needs one rear arch doing but thankfully the metal is all there irs just the paint.. And a scuff on corner of front bumper and rest of car is spot on.. Changed exhaust yesterday for one from ETS what good value for money they are.. As the one I took off was the original system and it fell into several bits when I took it off.. Rear discs and pads are original too.

Well then.. The washer jets malarky.. I took the complete washer bottle out and swilled it under tap, topped up with screen wash and hey presto.... Nothing... Still dribbled no further than the bottom windscreen rubber... And after spending so much time taking bottle out too.... Then as luck would have it I traced the hose back only to find a kink in hose near pollen filter and hey presto.. Water now shoots over entire car onto the boot 😆  slight nozzle adjustment and all is now well.
