Fl center dash fascia removal and radio removal ! The radio would not budge as the double din pins would not grip >:( Then did what it said in the guide , filed the pins and it came out after 20 odd attempts ::) Then krypton factor trying to figure out how the panel switches unhook ::)
Many a swear word was coming out the windows ;D ;D Now to get it back in without scratching the paint ::)

Apart from the hazard switch, all the others simply pull out... Sockets unclip and slide out ???

Yeah but i'd never done a fl one before ::) ;D I found the location of the d/din pins were out of align so god knows how it unhooked itself ??? Bent the pins into the correct position now .
I cant remember how it all goes back now ;D
If i scratch it putting it back grrrrr :-X

I can only presume that the far inferior prefacelift is assembled using nothing more than gravity and sticky back plastic... :D
-
Don't forget the blutac and sellotape..... thats what I found at the back of mine when I rewired it to receive a proper radio instead of the Bose radio that was installed....
-
I have resorted to crowbars in the past to remove the DD facelift radio

Picture as promised , turned out ok . The wood effect had all faded and lost its gloss so went for that rare silver effect . New gear stick and handbrake gaiter's :y
