Title: Omega 2.2 petrol Z22XE engine oil sump pan leaking advice needed
Post by: Andy A on 27 June 2015, 17:04:11
Just pulled back into the drive after successfully getting the clutch to bleed fully, only to find oil on the drive. At some point in the past the sump pan has been dented by something but now has started to leak.

Can this be repaired permanently or short term with the sump left in situ?

Anyone got the part number for the Z22XE oil sump pan or know where I can buy one?

Thanks

Having had a closer look the sump is in two parts and I need the lower sump.

Are there any other engine models with the same lower sump that I could look out for?

Thanks

Stated to clean rust off sump to do temp repair and oil is now pouring out. Non repairable.

Does anyone have a part number for the lower oil sump pan please?

Thanks

I think I've found a gasket and brand new oil sump pan.  :y

I have four questions.

1. Can the sump be taken off and replaced in situ?

2. How do I get to the back bolts on the pan that are covered by the cross member?

3. When I renew the gasket do I need to apply gasket sealant?

4. What are the torque settings.

Any help with this a appreciated.

Thanks
