Title: LPG price
Post by: PhilRich on 09 July 2015, 19:06:12
Anyone else seen a very welcome drop in the price of LPG?  :)
Local ASDA reduced the price to 45.7p/ltr from 54.9p yesterday. I can't remember hearing anything in the
Budget yesterday about a reduction in fuel duty, or did I miss it? Whatever the reason it is very welcome
and makes a pleasant change! :y

Was 59 in London, when High Wycombe was 54 (usually cheapest).

Now it's 55 in London, so guessing High Wycombe must be sub 50 now!  :D

Funnily enough, I had a row at my local (expensive) station. They're still at 61.9, where it has been for several months, even though everywhere else in Ipswich is 5/6ppl cheaper now. Not worth my time but even so....

Anyway... I digress... Connected up and the pump immediately shot up to 74p (1.24L) without me pressing the button. I went in and told them that the pump was faulty and he just shrugged his shoulders and said "Yeah, it's been doing that. It's ok, just fill up"

"Not likely" says I... "You aren't supposed to charge for the pressure equalisation."

Thieving gits!!

But it did get me thinking... If they are losing 74p on every single LPG fill up it soon adds up and explains why some places are incredibly slow to pass on savings.
