Can't put this in the For Sale section because it's not mine.. and nor is it for sale (I know, I know, bear with me :y)
Z20H Omega 2.2 saloon currently up at a friend's yard. There's a local taxi driver who is having the gearbox and engine, and interior. It may be that there's various odd bits of trim which I'll be nabbing, boot carpet, the back suspension arms etc
The point is, this car has done 72k and is mint. Ok, when I say mint we're talking no visible rust on the door bottoms, front wings, you name it. There is a patch of surface rust at the very bottom of the rear arch where it meets the sill, about 3cm long. That's all I could find. It's like a 5 year old car. No dings or scratches that I can see anywhere.
If there's ever a candidate for a re-shelling, this is it. I know there's going to be a fair whack gone off it, but the principle of get the shell, install your own engine, box, suspension in it, and you've got a car which is literally turning the clock back.
Won't be available for perhaps a month or two, but I'm just putting it out there now, give you all chance, if anyone's interested as a backburner project. Obviously need to be trailered, but it's one of those 'too good to break' cars - well, it is being broken, but that doesn't mean it still can't be saved. (He doesn't believe in snipping through looms and the like, so everything will be plug n play if you wanted to put another 2.2 in it - a V6 will of course be different.)
The only cleaner, original Omega I've seen than this was in a Vauxhall Showroom in 2003 :)
If no-one else wants it I'm angle-grinding off the sills, arches, scuttle, anything as repair panels for the future

A small oops - must point out the front bumper has had a bad paint job done on it, it's only the bumper, and of course the principle of this motor is the shell that's what you'd be buying all other extraneous parts are very much secondary (and relatively easy to source, but rust-free cars shells are not :D)
Just remembered, and so for my own conscience I had to point that out. :y
