Title: 2.6 MV6 - eBay
Post by: Mr.OmegaMan on 20 July 2015, 02:38:29
Looks a tidy example, Can't but help but think it looks familiar somehow maybe because it resembles Dr Optis mansion ::) ;D. Will be interesting to see what it goes for  :y

Rare Star Silver 2.6 MV6 on eBay (http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=301691617713&globalID=EBAY-GB)

Well spotted!  :y. I believe that Lord Opti has lands in Wales.  ::)

With a shitty ad like that he'll be lucky to break £500!  ::)  Fancy admitting that the tyres go down!!  :D

Good luck M'lud, I may be round East Anglier soon, so might come round and kick your flat tyres!  ;D  :y

That looks familiar indeed , i think he will regret selling
such a tidy example  :) It gone over me budget already  :'(

I think that is a decent ad. How many other OOFers have that sort of detailed inventory of their spend? Maybe admitting the tyres are going down is a bit poor but he is being honest.
Looks like cambelt is due again from history.

IF I had the money I'd bid the 'buy it now' price of £1500. :y

Well arguably if you had the cash and the car, then you could still have the cash and the car...

I'll say it goes over £1k possibly £1300 , the rare silver makes this possible  :D ;)
Title: Re: 2.6 MV6 - eBay

I paid Ebay £2.99 extra for a'buy it now 'price of £1500.

As soon as the first bid went in for 99p they deleted the option. This can't be right, can it?....according to the Ebay small print it is. >:( >:( >:( >:(

I think you need to put reserve price to keep the buy it now  :y

You can end the auction as long as there's over 12 hours left after the auction has less than 12 hours it cannot be removed.

In that case the bidders need to get their fingers out. ::)

£310 is a pittance for such a beast. Especially in such an unusual colour. :)

Certainly not. ;D It's not as easy to do as it used to be. I think Ebay have tightened things up a little. :y

All bids are genuine.

Whoever is bidding £690 has also put another 'top up' bid in. I'm hoping it picks up a little before Sunday.

Star Silver is a colour of it's time.

2000-2006 was known as the 'silver period' in car manufacture.

Silver ...silver........... and more silver.  :)

The seller is in complete control of the auction as long as there's more than 12 hours left...But once the timer goes below 12 hours there's nothing the seller can do but try and explain to the buyer the car sold else where or its no longer for sale or something etc... You do then run the risk of receiving negative feedback.
