Looks a tidy example, Can't but help but think it looks familiar somehow maybe because it resembles Dr Optis mansion ::) ;D. Will be interesting to see what it goes for :y
Rare Star Silver 2.6 MV6 on eBay (http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=301691617713&globalID=EBAY-GB)
-
Well spotted! :y. I believe that Lord Opti has lands in Wales. ::)
With a shitty ad like that he'll be lucky to break £500! ::) Fancy admitting that the tyres go down!! :D
Good luck M'lud, I may be round East Anglier soon, so might come round and kick your flat tyres! ;D :y
-
That looks familiar indeed , i think he will regret selling
such a tidy example :) It gone over me budget already :'(
-
I think that is a decent ad. How many other OOFers have that sort of detailed inventory of their spend? Maybe admitting the tyres are going down is a bit poor but he is being honest.
Looks like cambelt is due again from history.
-
Maybe we should do the old boy a favour and bid it up for him? :)
-
Bet Opti reads this and goes, b*stards, they found it ;D ;D ;D
-
What a wonderful example. :)
IF I had the money I'd bid the 'buy it now' price of £1500. :y
-
Looks pretty nice , got to be worth a punt from someone on here..
-

IF I had the money I'd bid the 'buy it now' price of £1500. :y
Well arguably if you had the cash and the car, then you could still have the cash and the car...
-
I'll say it goes over £1k possibly £1300 , the rare silver makes this possible :D ;)
-
I paid Ebay £2.99 extra for a'buy it now 'price of £1500.
As soon as the first bid went in for 99p they deleted the option. This can't be right, can it?....according to the Ebay small print it is. >:( >:( >:( >:(
-
I think you need to put reserve price to keep the buy it now :y

And they want around 10% of the final fee :y

Ah...I see.
In that case it looks like it might well be my f*ck up. :-\
-
Pull the listing and re list it with a reserve... Otherwise the £4.99 currently bid will become binding when the hammer falls :-\
-
You can end the auction as long as there's over 12 hours left after the auction has less than 12 hours it cannot be removed.
-
99p i got outbid >:(
;D
If i was to egay it i would put a classified ad in , this seems to be what folk do nowadays :y
-

In that case the bidders need to get their fingers out. ::)
£310 is a pittance for such a beast. Especially in such an unusual colour. :)
-
Does it come with a full tank of fuel :-\
-
Why the car in Wales?............. :o
-
Well I'm out................ :-X
-
Shame its an auto much prefer me manual, more control you know! and I am talking gear stick here ;)
-
Cambelt kit is due (on time) :y
-
Why the car in Wales?............. :o

-
Why the car in Wales?............. :o
MYOFB springs to mind :D
-
Is this actually opti's car then? I thought it was a joke!
-
Why the car in Wales?............. :o
Why not? We live there.
We also live in Lincolnshire. We are indeed fortunate. :y
.....and Cyprus. :)

Certainly not. ;D It's not as easy to do as it used to be. I think Ebay have tightened things up a little. :y
All bids are genuine.
Whoever is bidding £690 has also put another 'top up' bid in. I'm hoping it picks up a little before Sunday.

Has he now? Seriously we need to know if this is an OOFer, so we can agree not to bid against each other, not in your interest though, is it?............. :D :D

1016 views ........77 watchers.......but only 12 bids.
£690 is a pittance for such a car, even STMO would give offer me more than that. ::) ::) ::)

Now days every one wants something for nothing, tell them all to stick their bids where the sun don't shine and keep the car, looks like you've spent a fair amount of time and money keeping the car fettled. :y
-
I fear Mr opti has made a big mistake selling this fine fettled machine :'(
Lets hope he changes his mind and keeps it , after all we don't want him going down the green astra route ::)

Come on, Mr EMD. If you can afford a Frontera you obviously have pots of money everywhere. :)

Nah......pay £300 sell for £3000, is Robber Budden's philosophy. ;)

Star Silver is a colour of it's time.
2000-2006 was known as the 'silver period' in car manufacture.
Silver ...silver........... and more silver. :)
-
Yes a dealer will snap that up and turn the clock back to 45k , be up
for £2995 for sure :-\

Its a case of..Do you pull out or wait To see if there is a mad rush at the end :-\
When i bid on a auction i Bid once only and that is alway 8 seconds before the end...Surely there are others like me..But do you take that risk. :-\

77 watchers may be 77 serious potential buyers :y.........or 77 people who 'watch'. :-\
-
I'd pull it and park it up in your climate controlled vehicle store for when you get bored with the dreary Sig M'lud! :y
-
75 of the watchers will be OOfers, I am one of them.
Looks like my offer of £700 delivered was not so good ! :(
-
I would stop now, or you going to lose it,for a stoopid low price. :-X

Told you he shouldn't have admitted the tyres go down. :-X ;D ;D ;D

Now £720. You didn't put a reserve on it, a silly move I feel, so do you not have to sell it at the end of the auction, as there are bids on it?......... :-\ :-\

The seller is in complete control of the auction as long as there's more than 12 hours left...But once the timer goes below 12 hours there's nothing the seller can do but try and explain to the buyer the car sold else where or its no longer for sale or something etc... You do then run the risk of receiving negative feedback.

A risk you take if you don't set a reserve even if it cost a bit more if it where me I would pull it before the 12 hours and relist as a classified

If we lived in Utopia I would have liked a four figure price.
Sadly we don't so I'm happy(ish) with what she made.

End of an era M'lud! :'(

Perhaps not, Sir Tig. ::)
I believe there is a 29000 mile Elite going for buttons on here. ;) :D ;D

That vamps bloke was allegedly, sniffing about. :-\
-
I wonder if our Lord Opti would have got more if he'd listed it at his Lincolnshire family seat rather than his Welsh castle. :-\

A deposit of £150 has been paid so I can safely assume that the new owner of my MV6 is not a typical Ebay time waster. :y
