				Having taken off the NS front shock to replace with a new GM plus Kilen spring, I find the bearing is slightly worn. Any recommendations for replacement makes. GM are £24.50 +VAT, and I've seen an aftermarket for a fiver. :-\

				Allgerman have Febi top mounts WITH bearing for £19.95 each... but £25 for genuine bearing sounds reasonable if you're that way inclined :-\

				Thanks Al. The bearings are difficult to source for quick delivery on their own, so I might well go with GM. :y

				Have you opened them up and checked the race etc?
 
 Easy to do and easy to clean, usually they are fine and once cleaned and re-greased, as good as new. Plus you can actually do a proper inspection of the condition then as well.

 You can replace the balls cheaply from the local bike shop. Just check that there aren't any bad ridges in the raceway.

 Checked all the races now, and would not want to put these back on. :y

				Mine the plastic race had split, one of the balls was jammed in the rubber, and I reckon another couple had fallen out at some point. Pretty dry to. That was after 175k. 
 
 Glad I checked them when replacing the shocks (and had some spares  :y)

				For info, the new GM shocks are Sachs, the same make as the old ones taken off. :y

 Thought I would strip a pair down that I had lying around, took 10minutes to strip, clean, inspect and re-grease, if I get time I might do a"how to guide"  :y
