From the letters section in The Telegraph this morning:

SIR - At an Irish airport (Letters July 10) I was asked "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?"
I answered: "Had they done so, how would I know?"
The security officer smiled and said: "That's why we're asking."
