I have had an urge to buy and Alfa 147 some some time and last week while looking through the Autotrader I saw the perfect one, Blue in colour, wifes favorite so easier to sell to her, cream leather, sat nav built in phone, Bose stereo, low milage, reasonably priced and local so I thought, if thats still when I get back at the end of the week I will go and see it. Got home yesterday and made the call at 4.15pm and it was still there, so got directions and went over this morning and the bloody thing sold last night.
Looks like the Omega will ba staying for a while longer ;)

How can a tortoise drive someone mad?
Not talking the mick, just wondering. They don't seem hard to get along with, and if they roam too far surely a self tapper through the shell and a length of chain is all you need. ;D

No, sheep are useful ::)
We have an indoor pen for the torts so when its cold outside, we bring them indoors and they've got a UV heatlamp, once they've warmed up you should see them move, or should I say hear them move :'(

We've got two Hermanns and have had them since hatchlings. I was going to give Chester Zoo a call to see if they would like them, as for having more, I have decided not to have anymore pets once the cats has popped his cloggs and the torts have gone, thats it, its too much trouble if you want to go on holiday.

Let us know if you decide (get permission) to get rid :y

Ditto.. If every anybody has probs with re-homing the wife runs a sanctuary for reptiles and the like... we live in this sanctuary, but would not be without any of them.
They are such a tie when you want to go anywhere though I must agree.

You wouldn't believe the amount of hassle they are ::)

hmm maybe not then
Im picturing abandon em in the garden with a bit of lettuce like the torts of my childhood, guessing I am a bit behind the times

Thats what I thought when we got them, big mistake :'(
-
I was getting my hopes up then, that torts were about to move in! :(
-
You could go when they are in their 5 months hibernation... not much hassle then :y
-
very surprised about torts, thought they would be a doddle to keep, i'll stick to tropical fish, just have to keep an eye on the sharks though, :) :)
-
apperently according to the Mrs... 95% are kept wrong leading to premature death. The minimum lifespan of any CB sp in the UK should be 80! My liver will be well gone by then! :o

I thought keeping fish was relatively cheap until you get tropical... then it soons gets through more money than you think.
You do have to watch the sharks though - although 1 of mine died on Saturday :'(
So do you just put the Torts in a cupboard during the hibernation?

No they remain in a vivarium as they still need uv light, acces to water and a controlled temp. :y
