Title: Alarm

Locked car 8pm last night and at 11am this morning Alarm went off... Thinking Bonnet switch,I stuck a spacer on inside of bonnet,Then locked car...A hour later Alarm goes off again..Any ideas Where to check next  :y

Just unplug it ...... then electrically it can't see when the bonnet is open

Yeah, unplug it, if that cures it you know its that. If it doesn't, then you know its not that!

Normaly when the batteries inside have had their day they begin to leak all over the circuit board inside the power sounder and also you know when they are failing as they go,,,,chirp....chirp   when you set the alarm....also the alarm goes off at random due to the battery acid shorting the cicuit board out,,,,,so instead of you car catching fire it is best to disconnect  the unit,,,very common fault on omegas,,,,,,safer that way   :y :y

Dumped power sounder months ago..... Looks like it was the Bonnet switch playing up  :y

So:

a) fix the switch or bracket (they bend sometimes)

or

b) leave disconnected
