incidentally if i change to sky fibre am i tied to sky or is fibre just like copper so i can switch to any other provider after 12 months?

I work for Sky, i get offers internally that are not published to the public :y
We define a new customer as someone who has not subscribed to Sky in the last 12 months, with same surname at the address.
If you are not with Sky currently and you take this offer, it is a 12 month contract. But you are only paying line rental ;)
Fibre is not like copper, it's a fibre cable so much faster, and yes after 12 months you can switch.

Tunnie - I just moved to Sky from BT. The free fibre offer was great but it was only permitting 25gb per month and if you use movies package etc you will quickly bust 25gb so I had to go for unlimited at £10 per month. Sky did my line rental at £10.60. Very happy with set up so far and picture quality and reliability big improvement on BT Vision where HD mosaiced a lot.
-
Hi Tunnie i currently have sky family, movies hd,sky plus hd.Currently pay £58.25 If i add bb and phone what kind of rental would i be looking at per month.I am paying bt £78.50 per month for phone and bb,maybe an all in package with sky would be cheaper.Dean :-\

Holy moly moggy how on earth are you paying £78 a month for phone and BB??? thats crazy. even if you switched yourself to sky you could get phone and unlimited fiber for about £27.
-
I am paying £83 all in with sports, movies but not all in HD - that is with unlimited calls and broadband and line rental. Getting 40mbs with the broadband and router seems to perform better than the BT Hub 5. Only issue is BT sports where I am refusing to pay £20 a month so will do without. Can't imagine Leeds in Europe for a few
decades years

Glad to here it. Yeah a movie is at least 1gb, so some do need unlimited.

Best ringing direct, they could offer you something if current customer. If you have fibre in the area, getting that for free won't be an issue. Just line rental. It's normal £16 odd but discounts are easy.

That close to an end date you can switch now, you need to get setup or install within next 4 weeks to be valid I think :y
-
Cheers can I have a code then please
-
Thanks tunnie :y
Although I haven't got Sky, and am unlikely to get it in the foreseeable future, I think its very generous of you to offer these discounts to OOFers that may benefit :y
-

No probs all. Easy enough for me to do, when I spot them internally just post up here. Quite a few OOFers have been able to get good discounts.
This one is unusually good though, basically free apart from the line rental

Recently used your 50% off code, should have waited a bit longer to get this instead. Presumably adding movies would be at full price ie £17? Even though that still works out cheaper than the 50% off deal. Probably the best Sky deal I have seen for a while.
-
Yeah they don't tell us what is coming up, so just post when they look decent ish. Many people have asked we should be able to give just Movies or Sports alone at the discount, not have to take both combined. :(
-
I got a letter through the door the other day ofeering sky sports and sky movies together for £23 for 12 months or sky sports on its own for £15 or movies on its own for £10
goto sky.com/together
-
I currently have movies but not sports, will the discount work for me ?
Thanks John

I added Sky movies for £6.50 afterwards but not the HD version - I then cancelled my Netflix sub. Check your upgrade offers in MySky.
