Title: 3.0 downpipes on 3.2
Post by: C20det on 17 August 2015, 19:20:13
If I replace my 3.2 downpipes with 3.0 ones to do away with the pre cats & weld in some new bosses for the lambda sensors would this cause any problems? I.e any more eml come on or fail MOT?

Cheers

Would it be okay to use my 3.2 main cats with the 3.0 pipes or would need to get the 3.0 cats too

Better off moving pre-cat sensors to post cat, will solve the problem.  :y

Yep 3.0 Cats will work fine as you describe, you will need to grind the ends off slightly though.

The downpipes and the cats are the same section/part.

Got 3.0L downpipes on my 3.2 no problems for mot., :y,
Bought the bosses  of ebay, welded in, grinded the shoulder down, new gaskets and splodges of exhaust gasket paste.
That's a quick summary. There is a more accurate how to. :)
