Thanks, that reminds me, I need to call MM - I sent my IG1000 off over 2 months ago to see if they can fix it (its never worked reliably), and not heard a Dickie bird since.
When it did run (which was never for more than 15 mins before failing), it did what it claimed. I'm dubious of the noise claims, as its quite noisy in use, even in eco mode.
The spark plugs are nigh on impossible to buy locally from garden centres, car outlets (likes of ecp, gsf, motorserv etc) or bike outlets. MM do however sell the plugs.
Would I recommend it? Probably not. I'm also dubious of the power claims, as a twin 400W heater, turned on one bar at a time, would stall mine every time.

Thanks for that Jamie.... :y

Looks like a chonda to me (Chinese Honda look-alike).
I think I'd rather go for a 2nd hand Honda for that money. Even the pre-inverter EX series Honda generators are great. Quiet, frugal and honest about their output. You can often pick them up cheap with simple faults and fix them. The contest group I belong to run an EX800 for 24 hour radio contests regularly and it doesn't miss a beat. For larger setups we hire a 40kVA trailer generator, which also doesn't miss a beat. ;D

Like most Clarke/Sealey stuff, its Chinese sourced tat, rebadged and price bumped.
