a mate has the above and says his car eats front tyres go bald quick on outer edge,i said alignment? but says hes had that done! says feels odd when one of the front wheels goes over a man hole cover in road say, almost like steering wheel is being torn out of your hands! any ideas please?

Front wishbones need doing probably, needs full geo rather than just alignment.
-
he did say had a 4 wheel alignment done 3,000miles ago,new ones going bald too!
-
Geo needed ;)
Wishbones probably shot :)

4 wheel alignment is no good for this sort of fault, as the camber is out. It needs a full geo check done.
-
Camber on front is wrong--its too positive and need to be negative--basically the wheel is tilting out at top when viewed from side and it should be tilted back--Unfortunately tracking is irrelevant when camber is concerned

I had this with mine but ATS sorted it with out any issues and it's straight as a di now.
