Title: OOps locked out.
Post by: spencer on 15 September 2015, 08:52:11
Hi all , been a lurker on these forums for quite a while & have picked up a lot about the omega, but cant find a solution to my current problem.

I own a 2000 omega 2.5 auto.

My car would not start and i flattened the battery trying to get it going , anyway I popped the hood closed the drivers door and locked it, took the battery out , run inside and put it on charge , closing the hood after taking the battery out.

So this morning I take the battery off charge , take it to the car and then try to open the car by putting the key in the door lock, only to find all it does is click. arghhhh I cant get in to the car to pop the hood .

Any one able to tell me how to get in to the car , without busting a window ?

any suggestions appreciated  & thanking you all in advance

Turn the key in the drivers lock hard, it will pop the dead locks.....although it will feel like the key will snap (it wont!)

Thanks for the reply, I have turned the key as hard as i can in both directions but as soon as i get a bit of resistance in just clicks.... . But the button only just looks if it moved a touch.

update........

Have you eve felt any more stupid than i do at this point of time, the door is open , i was expecting the button to move up. :-\

but on trying to open the door it is open and im in cheers   :y
