Holy ****. Stuff the car, are you alright?
-
Yeah i am fine thanks, The car ended up down an embankment in 6 foot high brambles & came to a stop when it hit the tree, The only injuries I got was cuts from scrambling up the embankment through the brambles.
-
That's the important thing, metal can be
repaired or replaced.
-
Glad you're ok, but you're still unlucky, Alf.
Will need more than a bit of T Cut to sort that out mate :y Guess its fecked to say the least :o
-
Yup, it twisted the whole body to such an extent that the tailgate wouldn't open & the load cover was jammed solid in it's runners, The thing is the stupid air bags never went off!.
-
At least you're safe :y
RIP another Omega :'(
-
Very sad for your loss but your OK :y, that's what insurance is for. Looks like some spare are a foot ;D
-
Nasty one to say the least :o :o :o . . . but as said at least theres no damage to you.
Plenty of cheap Omegas about to replace it though
-
at least youre ok :y
The rest can be replaced.
-
Your are safe, that's the main thing. :y
Tough on boots these Omegas, it had a good innings though :)
-
Jeez I bet that was a brown trouser moment! :o Glad you're OK though Alf. :y
-
Despite the seriousness of the accident, the passenger compartment looks in tact. Thanks for the reminder why I'll only send Mrs TB up the motorway in an Omega, not a little shitbox.
Glad your physically fine Tim, you know what it could have been. At least its only a lump of metal, not flesh and bone.
-
After walking away unscathed from that, I think you should change your name to Lucky Alf. :y
-
The old girl stood up well. At upsetting as it is to see it mullered your ok thats the main thing.
I'd do the lottery :y
-
What a shame Alf, but glad you're OK. Strange the airbags didn't deploy. :-\ :-\ :-\
-
Shame to see it happen, but at least you're OK!
-
Struth, Tim.....glad you are ok.
Real shame about the tractor, I shall miss it. You have to get another one :y
-
Crikey. Good that you got out unscathed. Airbags? I often wonder if they work after a certain age.
Hope you get enough insurance payout to buy another. :y
-
Thanks for all your kind words, I am looking out for another TD miggy but for the time being I have bought a cheap Focus estate (what a piece of poo it is in comparison) but wisely i have invested in a Balaclava so no bugger sees me driving it, I suppose for the 7 years I got out of my deceased £300 miggy I cant complain too much, Oh & by the time the insurance took their lump out of the claim i was left with £100 the thieving b**tards >:(.
-
Looks nearly as bad as the crash which wrote off my Senator a few years ago.Very glad you're ok :y That's one thing about these big Vauxhalls when it comes down to it they don't half seem to look after their occupants :y

Normally airbags don't deploy below 40 mph as they can do more harm than good, although I'm not sure this was below 40. With regards age, the drAudi I had, had a sticker in the window saying the airbags should be replaced after 14 years. Not sure how true that is.
-
The thing was i was only doing about 30 MPH as I has only just come off a roundabout 50 yards back from a stationary start, A guy that saw it & stopped said that that bit of road was notoriously bad in the wet, He even told the Police I was not doing any sort of speed.
-
It shows, Tim, its not always speed. Speed, though is always the first thought of many a policeman, in whatever situation. And, indeed, need a lot of convincing to the opposite.
Last monday, similar to your experience, I was on the roundabout at Hook, just off the M3, and going slowly....the arse spun round unexpectantly, put the fear of god up me and swmbo. Luckily, I had plenty of road to get it back, otherwise I am sure it would have been my pictures along with yours.
Lucky you had a witness, mate. :y
-
Sorry to see/hear this Alf, but as said, glad you're intact ;)
Isn't someone up Chester way preparing an oilfueled estate shell for recycling? Might even be the same colour ::)
