Title: Dog needs a home. Can you help?
Post by: Kate on 26 September 2015, 22:44:35
Hi all.

My friends mum just died and she has inherited her dog. Unfortunately my friend has cats & Woozie the dog hates cats so total chaos. He is the most wonderful & loving dog & my friend is really upset to have to let him go.  She has tried to train him but nothing has worked as he really does not like cats. He would suit a family without small children, as he is not used to them.

If anyone could offer him a home or anyone that is looking for a dog please let me know.

Many thanks. :y

Kate

He gets on really well with other dogs, it's just cats that he doesn't like. I have two dogs aged 2 and 10  and he gets on really well with them.

He's very friendly, likes sitting next to you and going for walks. He's fine in the car and very well behaved and loving.

I would have had him myself but I have cats.

If you would like to meet him then let me know. :y

What age and make? Any history?

Making no promises, but we're considering another, a year since we lost our last one... :-\

We think he is a wheaten terrier cross. The only problem he's had is that he got bit by another dog when he was a puppy but he recovered well and he's fine now. I think he is 7 but I'll check with my friend.

He's a very healthy and happy dog, very relaxed and easy going.

I'll send you my number. I can bring him down to meet you.

Yep. Same as cockapoos, labradoodles and all the other Heinz 57 varieties that breeders have invented.

Blackpool....  ::)

He's a lovely dog, could do with him to get rid of the ruddy moggy's round here - hateful ruddy things they are too...

Really hope he finds a home soon. Sorry to say this but just in case you/your friend goes down the local free ads 'dog - free to a good home' line...please don't.  They're trawled by the badger baiter / dog fighter lot, who of course put up a show, make lots of smiles, and then use them for betting on. I'm being no more graphic than that, leave the rest to imagination.  :'(

I cannot for a second imagine anyone on here being so inclined of course, like to think this is still a community of well-meaning folks. I mean elsewhere, your local paper, corner shop window ads etc..

He looks such a sweetie, I see more than a bit of Westie in him, and I hope he gets somewhere very soon. Best of luck little feller!  :y

That's why I put a message on here for her. My friend wouldn't even consider Gumtree etc due to the risk of evil nutters.

He's a lovely dog but cats drive him mad. I really hope I can find a member to take him.

I can also see Westie in him...

Unfortunately the Westie we have at the moment is going to be our last dog we will be owning otherwise I would have said Id take him...

I hope he does find a good loving home he can settle into :)

I was sure that would have already crossed her mind, but just wanted to be sure  :y

Again, can only say again, may he find a loving home very soon. The thought of having a beloved pet left after I've gone suddenly leaves me with a cold dread. It's easy to forget what to do for those left behind, if you don't have a relative who would automatically take on said pet  :(

Thanks for thinking of him but Woozie found a home with a retired lady in Twyford, Hampshire.

He gets lets of walks and love, so he is a lucky dog. :y
